Google Assistant Is Now Available on Older Android Phones

Google Assistant

Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) has now put its Google Assistant onto older Android phones, giving the service to the 46.5% of users who didn’t have it before.

The update is first rolling out to phones with English language settings in the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, India, and the UK, as well as with those phones with Spanish language settings in the US, Spain, and Mexico. Next to receive the update will be Italy, Brazil, Germany, Japan, and South Korea. Google believes that this will be enough to for Assistant to take over the previous voice system.

Google Assistant will also be making its way to Android tablets. However, this addition is currently only set to arrive on tablets in the US with English language settings.
