Have you ever downloaded the mobile games,“The Walking Dead: Road to Survival”, “WWE Survival”, or “Dice with Ellen”? The majority of gamers will have had their fair share of run ins with these games, but did you know that all three games were produced by the same mobile game network? Founded in 2011, Scopely has now produced another whopping $60 million, thus putting their current value at $600 million.

The Series C came less than a year after the California-based company finished a $55 million Series B. As of right now, Scopely has produced roughly $160 million.

To no surprise, Scopely is considered to be a leading mobile gaming network. Why? Because they created a network that consists of more than 125 million players. Additionally, Scopely has reached profitability through helping IP holders alter their brands into digital interactive experiences.

Mentioned previously, Scopely is the network behind the mobile game “The Walking Dead: Road to Survival” which has been played by roughly 40 million people and brought in nine-figure annual revenues. Additionally, Scopely created a variety of WWE games, such as “WWE Survival” and “WWE Champions” which was downloaded 10 million times in the first month following it’s release.

Over the last nine quarters, Scopely’s revenues grew by nine-fold. These new fundings will not go to waste however, as the company plans to use them for strategic investments, acquisitions, and commercial partnerships.

Walter Driver, the CEO and co-founder of Scopely, said in a statement that “this capital infusion will enable us to expand the business through inorganic means while we continue to execute on our path of organic growth in parallel.”

The latest round that Scopely embarked on was led by Revolution Growth. Revolution Growth is headed by Steve Case, Donn Davis and Ted Leonsis, who are all former AOL executives. It was recently disclosed that Davis will soon be a member of Scopely’s board.

“Scopely has built a unique and powerful platform to successfully develop, market and monetize free-to-play mobile games,” says Davis, “their platform uses data and analytics to systematically produce No.1 games that are great to play for fans and top producers for its brand partners.”

Scopely has a number of other investors, including Greenspring, Sands Capital Ventures, Cross Creek Advisors and Pritzker Group Venture Capital.
