Bridge, a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider, has started building an important solution for the revitalized National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Jamie Conyngham, the CEO of Bridge, who took over the affairs of the company in 2020, has said that the platform, which has been streamlining organizational tasks and compliance for employment service providers, is now advancing the service for the NDIS.
According to Conyngham, “The Federal Government has big programs they run to help unemployed people to get a job, and these are outsourced to companies called providers. The providers are the ones who do the work to get people into employment. Similarly, the NDIS program is huge and the Federal Government relies on providers to provide the care to those who need it.”
Bridge is a platform that providers can use to manage their clients’ tasks for the days, documentation for compliance, appointments, claims for their revenue from the government and other assorted deluge which make administrative tasks difficult. About three or four years later, Bridge saw a need for them to help providers with the NDIS program. This birthed Bridge’s NDIS project. Conyngham reiterated that Bridge has not deviated from its core features but has only added additional functionality for providers.
Statistics show there are about 17,000 NDIS providers in Australia, with an annual funding of $40 billion from the Federal Government. Conyngham said, “There is a lot of compliance in programs like the NDIS and the providers are not all big with some of them quite well. Some are husband and wife teams or have three or five people working for them and must do all this compliance and keep track of their clients. They have limited time, have to fill in a lot of forms and claim the government to get paid and revenue for their business.”
