According to Dow Jones on Monday, Apple (NASDAQ:$AAPL) will be hosting its iPhone 8 unveil event on September 12th.
Investors are expecting the tech leader to roll out a new line of products, including two new incremental iPhone updates possibly named the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s+, as well as the highly anticipated, luxurious iPhone 8. Additional updates include a new Apple Watch as well as a higher definition, 4K Apple TV that aims to provide superior sharpness and quality.
Using all new OLED screen panels, the iPhone 8 is also rumored to boast an “infinity display” that will cover the entire screen, delivering superior brightness and colour quality over previous devices. Other rumours also include the relocation of the fingerprint scanner to the back of the phone, while also supporting facial recognition thanks to a new 3-D facial sensor in the front of the device.
With the iPhone 8 rumoured to have a starting price tag of $1,000, this may be one of the most expensive rounds of smartphones Apple has ever released.
Apple will typically release its phones to market within a week of the device announcement.
