On Wednesday, August 23rd, Rory Capern, the Managing Director of Twitter Canada, left the company without much warning. Twitter (NYSE:$TWTR) has yet to give a reason for Capern’s exit. However, the company has confirmed through an email that the Canada office is now currently looking for someone to take over Capern’s position. The Canada branch has also confirmed that there will be no other changes to its executive team.
Capern had joined the company early last year, replacing Kristine Stewart when she was promoted to become Twitter’s vice-president of North American media. She’d left the social media company in September 2016.
Capern said goodbye by tweeting, “Grateful for the chance to lead @TwitterCanada, and so proud of the team there. Thanks to all my Tweeps. Looking forward to what’s next.”
