Trump Takes a Stab at the FBI, Says its Reputation is in “Tatters”

Trump had quite the day on Twitter today. On Sunday, President Donald Trump called out the FBI, stating that “its reputation is in Tatters.” As per usual, Trump made this critique on Twitter, adding that U.S. citizens should not fear as he will “bring it back to greatness.”

After years of Comey, with the phony and dishonest Clinton investigation (and more), running the FBI, its reputation is in Tatters – worst in History! But fear not, we will bring it back to greatness.”

In the tweet, Trump is referring to James Comey, former bureau Director, who he terminated in May.

It was only a few moments earlier that Trump was citing reports that Robert Mueller re-assigned an agent that was working on the Russian investigation after the bureau’s inspector general started to look at his involvement with sending anti-Trump text messages.

Tainted (no, very dishonest?) FBI ‘agent’s role in Clinton probe under review.’ Led Clinton Email probe. @foxandfriends Clinton money going to wife of another FBI agent in charge.”

The president’s tweets come after former national security adviser Michael Flynn plead guilty to lying to the bureau, which is a serious crime in the U.S.
