French multinational video game publisher, Ubisoft (EPA:$UBI), took some time off to refresh the Assassin’s Creed series with new ideas. The result of this reinvigoration? A new iOS and Android game called Assassin’s Creed Rebellion.
Ubisoft put up a blog post which went into the specifics of the game: “Set in Spain during the height of the Inquisition, Assassin’s Creed Rebellion lets you build out your Brotherhood HQ with new rooms that enable you to train your Assassins and craft new items and equipment. As you level up your Brotherhood, additional rooms and other content become available, opening up new upgrade options.”
In the mobile game, you will be able to recruit more Assassins to your base by collecting DNA fragments. After you finish building your base, you will be able to send to your Assassins on missions. Like any smart commander, you will want to be tactical about who you send on these missions as each Assassin has a unique skill set. There are standard missions which will net you resources for upgrading your base as well as Assassins, and loot missions which earn crafting material. There will even be Story Missions but that one might be hard to imagine seeing as the Assassins in the mobile game are more cute than terrifying.
As of right now, there are no release dates for Assassin’s Creed Rebellion.
