Apple and The Rock Release an Advertisement That Showcases Siri

Earth has a new hero – and he’s not dressed in tights or wearing a cape. Apple (NASDAQ:$AAPL) has entered into a  partnership with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to release a new advertisement that displays its smart assistant Siri.

The advertisement was made by Johnson’s Seven Bucks production company and features the actor performing a number of tasks across the globe (and in space) throughout the day using Apple’s Siri. For instance, Johnson is shown painting the Sistine Chapel and participating in a space walk during the same day in the advertisement. The point? To show how Apple’s application helps Johnson maneuver through his busy day.

It shouldn’t come as a total surprise that Apple now has an advertisement that showcases Siri, as the smart assistant has fallen behind competitors like Amazon (NASDAQ:$AMZN) and Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:$GOOGL). Even though Siri remains the most popular voice assistant, it won’t be long before Amazon’s Alexa and Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:$MSFT) Cortana catch up.

Based on some estimates, the voice-based smart assistant market is thought to hit $12 billion by the year 2024.
