Apple Just Released iOS 11 Developer Beta 4

iOS 11

In anticipation of the final iOS 11 release in September, Apple (NASDAQ:$AAPL) has just released iOS 11 developer beta 4 for developers on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. However, things are still in the early stages, and installing the beta 4 on a production device is not recommended just yet.

As of right now, the iOS 11 beta 4 is only available if you’re a registered developer. Even though Apple has a public beta program, the California-based company tends to wait a couple of days before releasing new developer betas in the public beta channel.

If you are already testing out iOS 11, go to the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad to update the software. In addition, watchOS 4, macOS High Sierra, and tvOS 11 received a beta update today.

So, what’s new in iOS 11?

Many speculate that this update is a huge step forward for the iPad. You will have the option to drag and drop files, app icons and more across the operating system. Plus, there’s a dock, a new app switcher, and a Files app so you can launch apps and manage documents easier. It’s not just the iPad however. There will also be striking changes for the iPhone, such as the redesigned Control Center. The new Control Center will let users customize their shortcuts.
