Delta Air Lines Announces September Traffic

On Tuesday, Delta Air Lines (NYSE:$DAL) announced that its traffic in September 2017 increased 0.3% from September last year, on a capacity increase of 0.6%.

Delta Air Lines reported that its Total System traffic for the month increased 0.3% to 17.65 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) from 17.60 billion RPMs in the same period in 2016.

Monthly capacity came in at 20.92 billion available seat miles (ASMs), which is up 0.6% from 20.80 billion ASMs in the 2016 period.

Delta Air Lines said it expects its operating margin to be between the range of 15.5% to 16.5%. Hurricane Irma negatively impacted results by roughly $120 million. As a point of reference, this translates to roughly one point of margin.
