Nintendo Announces That its Switch Game Console Sold More Than 10 Million Units Worldwide

Switch Game Console

On Tuesday, Japanese gaming behemoth Nintendo Co. (OTC:NTDOF) announced that its Switch game console has officially sold more than 10 million units worldwide.

This is pretty significant, seeing as Nintendo only rolled out the Switch game console ten short months ago to consumers. However, the news isn’t too surprising as Nintendo has seen extremely positive sales figures as of late. In fact, 2 months ago, Nintendo disclosed that the console played a defining role in driving its sales growth by 175% in the six months that ended on September 30.

Further, Nintendo managed to sell 4.7 million Switch consoles in the summer, and that number soared to 7.63 million by the end of September.

Considering the Japanese company has said that it is aiming to reach 14 million Switch console units sold by the end of March next year, we can safely say that the company is on track to reaching that goal.
