Donald Trump – the current and 45th president of the United States – has said that he is currently negotiating with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak. Why? The political leaders are discussing a deal for the country to buy $10 billion worth of Boeing Corporation (NYSE:$BA) and General Electric Corporation (NYSE:$GE) products.
“We are talking about trade, very large trade deals. We’re working on one deal where between 10 and 20 billion dollars worth of Boeing jets are going to be purchased. General Electric engines will be purchased,” President Trump said.
On Tuesday, in afternoon trade, shares of GE were up 0.17% to $23.77. However, Boeing shares were down 0.48% to $239.43.
