Are you interested in the latest computer hardware technology? If so, you may find today’s news exciting. Apple (NASDAQ:$AAPL), a technology giant, is scheduled to unveil the next iPhone — or possibly three — today. However, like most things, there is one downside to the 10th anniversary edition of the flagship smartphone: it will cost more than $1,000 US.
Not only is today’s unveil an exciting day for technology lovers, it is also a significant day for Apple, as this will be the company’s first product event at its new spaceship-shaped campus in Cupertino, California.
Here’s what we know so far about the new top-of-the-line iPhone:
– The iPhone is expected to have an upgraded screen that goes to the edge of the phone
– The iPhone is expected to include 3D facial recognition rather than a fingerprint sensor
– The iPhone will have inductive charging, otherwise known as wireless charging.
Aside from the iPhone, Apple is also thought to be unveiling a new Apple TV, and a new Apple Watch with cellular connectivity built in at today’s event.
It is worth mentioning that Apple’s event comes just weeks after Samsung (OTCMKTS:$SSNLF) rolled out its new Galaxy Note 8, which is priced at $1,299.99 in Canada.
