It’s the little things in life that go a long way. On Thursday, September 21, volunteers from AT&T (NYSE:$T) paired up with The Salvation Army and The Pack Shack to pack 20,000 meals in an attempt to benefit those facing hunger issues in Milwaukee.
The AT&T volunteers packed 20,000 healthy meals, with smiles on their faces, during a “Feed the Funnel Party” to benefit The Salvation Army Milwaukee County.
According to the news release, AT&T, a Dallas-based telecommunications company, covered all of the expenses of the meals through a company contribution.
“Hunger is a real issue today with more people in our neighborhoods struggling to provide food for their families than many of us realize,” President of AT&T Wisconsin Scott T. VanderSanden said. “AT&T’s employees have always been dedicated to giving back to our communities, and we are excited to partner with The Salvation Army and The Pack Shack to help provide nutritious meals to those individuals and families who are struggling in Milwaukee.”
