Have you heard the good news? Apple (NASDAQ:$AAPL) just introduced a high-end $999 phone, a new Apple Watch, and numerous other new features at its special event on Tuesday, September 12. This event was the first-ever at the Steve Jobs Theater at the company’s new spaceship-shaped campus.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new iPhone!

Apple, a California-based technology giant, has officially unveiled its iPhone 8, which includes a 4.7-inch display, as well as the iPhone 8 Plus, which has a 5.5-inch display. The new phones start at $699 and $799, and both will be available for order this Friday. Additionally, the phones are scheduled to ship on September 22.

So what’s new? Well, the new phone models feature brand new stereo speakers, Apple’s new A11 “Bionic” chip, and the phones have glass on the front and back. Further, both phones have a wireless charging option and their 12-megapixel camera will allow users to use a new feature called “portrait mode.” Portrait mode is when the camera uses sensors to adjust lighting while they are framing the picture. Also, Apple showed off the augmented reality (AR) features of the camera.

In addition, Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, introduced the iPhone X, or the iPhone 10. The iPhone X — starting at $999 — has an edge-to-edge display, dual 12-megapixel camera and stability sensors, and there is no home button. How does one access the contents of their phone without a home button? Well, the iPhone 10 features a FaceID recognition feature, which unlocks a user’s phone and can also be used with Apple Pay and various third-party apps. Keep in mind orders for the iPhone X, or 10, will commence on October 27, with a November 3 ship date.

Last but not least, Apple disclosed that it will be launching its AirPower wireless charging pad that can charge phones, as well as the Apple Watch, and Airpods in 2018.
