Facebook Rolls Out Snooze Feature That Lets You Mute People/Groups for 30 Days

Snooze Feature

After testing the feature back in September, Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) has officially launched its Snooze feature to all users.

The update itself is pretty cool; it now lets users put a friend or group on mute for a period of 30 days. Why would you want to do this? Well, there are a lot of reasons, but primarily if you want to hide certain updates from your Feed, this is the way to do it.

One could compare this to Facebook’s ‘Hide’ feature which lets users remove certain updates, whether it be a person or a page, from their feed without having to actually delete that person from their contacts.

The Snooze feature could be particularly useful now that the Menlo Park, California-based company has rolled out personality questions, and users answers are flooding people’s timelines.
