Google (NASDAQ:$GOOGL) and Bose just made a massive announcement. Are you ready? On Thursday, September 21, the two companies announced a new version of the headphone manufacturer’s successful noise-canceling headphones, the QC 35s. The headphones will be called QC 35 II. But wait, it gets better. There will be a button on the QC 35 II which triggers the Google Assistant.
Google said the Assistant on the QC 35 II will be able to do most of the things the Assistant can do on your iPhone or Android. This means you will be able to do the following: read messages, call people, and play news or music.
However, it is important to keep in mind that the Google Assistant feature on the QC 35 II relies significantly on the Android or iPhone for processing and network connectivity.
These headphones have been popping up in the rumor-mill for quite some time, and it explains various hiccups along the way, like the headphone-related bits that have been found inside the Google Assistant app on Android.
The QC 35 II will be released in Canada, the United States, France, the UK, and Germany. They are reportedly available today for $349.95.
