Google CEO Says Company Will “Drop Everything” on Monday to Fix Cheeseburger Emoji

In a world that now seems to communicate via emojis, Google (NASDAQ:$GOOGL) definitely has its priorities right.

The CEO of Google has promised that the Mountain View, California-based company will “drop everything” on Monday to fix an error that was pointed out on its cheeseburger emoji.

On Saturday, author Thomas Baekdal tweeted a photo of Apple’s (NASDAQ:$AAPL) and Google’s cheeseburger emojis, pointing out that each company placed the cheese in a different spot than one another.

He wrote as the caption: ‘I think we need to have a discussion about how Google’s burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top.’

The tweet, which went viral, caught the attention of CEO Sundar Pichai, who responded on Sunday, saying: ‘Will drop everything else we are doing and address on Monday:) if folks can agree on the correct way to do this!’

While it is unclear as to whether Google will actually change the cheeseburger emoji, the exchange between the two had social media users cracking jokes and making their own suggestions.

“Just Image search a cheeseburger,” one user tweeted.

Another said: “So proud to work at a company which has its priorities right.”

As for our opinion? It should go bun, cheese, burger, tomato, lettuce, bun, but what do we know? Google’s the emoji expert.
