In October, Twitter (NYSE:$TWTR) commenced working on a “save for later” feature for tweets that appear on your timeline. The aim was that an individual could flag the tweet so that they could go back to it later. Now, Twitter has given the feature a name: ‘Bookmarks.’
Twitter’s staff product designer Tina Koyama announced the news late last night in a series of tweets, saying the San Francisco-based company has picked out a number of versions as to how Bookmarks will look and work. Koyama added that the different versions are being tested in the Twitter community.
Even though Twitter has not responded to any comments beyond the tweets, a spokesperson said: “We’ll be sure to let you know if/when we have more details to share in terms of a formal announcement.”
Based on what Twitter has shown thus far, it is very likely that the Bookmark feature will appear in a menu in the bottom corner of a tweet on a mobile device, or in the drop-down menu in the corner on the desktop site.
