Trump Takes Another Stab at the NFL, Claims the League is “Out of Control”

NFL

President Trump took another stab at the NFL on Tuesday, which makes this his fourth attack on the league in eight days.

“At least 24 players kneeling this weekend at NFL stadiums that are now having a very hard time filling up,” Trump tweeted this morning. “The American public is fed up with the disrespect the NFL is paying to our Country, our Flag and our National Anthem. Weak and out of control!”

The exact numbers of players protesting against racial inequality in the United States are unknown. However, Trump’s figures seem to tally with those of the Associated Press, which recorded 23 players sitting out the anthem during Sunday’s games.

For those who don’t know, Trump caused a number of players to protest earlier this season after stating that anyone who kneels during the national anthem should be fired.

Trump’s proclamation on Tuesday that the NFL is struggling to fill up stadiums is shaky, considering attendance has held steady in 2017.
