Trump Taunts Kim Jong Un on Twitter, Says He Would Never Call Him “Short and Fat”

Kim Jong Un

Late Saturday night, President Trump issued a bizarre tweet in which he stated that he would never call North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un “short and fat,” adding that Kim had called him “old.”

“Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me ‘old’, when I would NEVER call him ‘short and fat?’ Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend – and maybe someday that will happen!”

Many were left staring at the tweet, baffled by the president’s words. Some even took to Twitter themselves to question whether or not the tweet was real.

Unfortunately, the president’s tweet was very real, and he was clearly referring to the comments made earlier this week by North Korean state media, which accused him of purposefully driving tensions between the two countries “to the extremes.”

According to BBC, the North Korean agency said on Monday:

“No one can predict when the lunatic old man of the White House, lost to senses, will start a nuclear war.”

This is just the latest tiff between the two world leaders. Trump has been known to refer to Kim as “Rocket Man”, with Kim hitting back calling Trump a “dotard.”

The president’s tweet came amid his 12-day tour through Asia.
