It appears Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un are working through their problems. On Tuesday, President Donald Trump announced progress on a resolution to the North Korea nuclear crisis. He called on Pyongyang to “make a deal.”
The president spoke to reporters alongside South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in Tuesday morning, stating:
“I really believe it makes sense for North Korea to come to the table and make a deal that’s good for people of North Korea and people of the world. I do see certain movement, yes, but let’s see what happens.”
Further, the president called on world leaders to address the North Korean threat as he believes it is a “worldwide threat that requires worldwide action.”
Trump is currently in South Korea as part of his 11-day trip through East Asia. From the moment he touched down in Seoul, South Korea, Trump has primarily focused on the issues around North Korea.
“Ultimately, it will all work out because it always works out. It has to work out,” Trump said to US and South Korean troops during a stop at Camp Humphreys.
During Tuesday’s press conference, the American president thanked President Moon for his hospitality, telling him “we cannot allow North Korea to threaten all that we have built.”
