Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has revealed its iPhone recycling robot – Daisy, after announcing the company’s new Earth Day recycling program.

Daisy, who was made from the recycled parts of another Apple robot named Liam, is capable of disassembling nine versions of the iPhone and can sort through the recyclable materials.

Liam was the company’s first iPhone recycling robot and was launch in 2016. Apple has said that they have gained knowledge from Liam which was used, in addition to some of Liam’s parts, to create Daisy.

The new robot’s average rate is approximately 200 iPhones taken apart per hour. Apple says Daisy “is the most efficient way to reclaim more of the valuable materials stored in iPhone” because it “can recover materials that traditional recyclers can’t.”

In addition to Daisy’s debut, Apple has announced its new recycling program as a “part of its continued commitment to supporting a healthy planet through innovation.”

From now until April 30, for every Apple device that is received through the Apple GiveBack program, Apple will donate to Conservation International – an environmental non-profit.
